This District sponsored competition is open to middle school students in teams of 2 to 4. With their team, they will plan a menu item that could be added to the school lunch menu. Teams will follow the District guidelines for the meal item, nutritional requirements, recipe requirements and competition guidelines. Our sponsor will work with teams to guide them through the work. Once the applications are complete, they will be submitted to Food Services of BVSD who will select the top 6 entries from our entire District! If teams are selected as part of the top 6 teams, we will practice making their menu item after school at Aspen Creek and will take part in a live Iron Chef Competition in Boulder. The winning team will have their meal added to the BVSD school lunch menu! This competition is usually held in the Spring.
